The EEWH Label is the first green building rating system in Asia specifically designed for tropical and subtropical climates. It is the official green building rating system developed by Taiwan government. The assessment criteria include four key categories: ecology, energy efficiency, waste reduction, and health.

Biodiversity Indicator, e.g., constructing biological habitats.
Greenery Indicator, ex. green roofs, vertical planting.
Soil Water retention indicator, e.g., sponge city, disaster prevention.

Daily Energy Saving Indicator, e.g., Energy-efficient building envelope (EEV), Energy-efficient air conditioning (EAC), Energy-efficient lighting (EL).

Carbon reduction Indicator, e.g., Carbon reduction in structures.
Waste Reduction Indicator, e.g., construction waste reduction.

Indoor environment indicators, e.g., indoor light, sound, heat, and air quality.
Water Resources Indicator, e.g., irrigation water conservation, water efficiency of fixtures, water recycling.
Sewage and Garbage improvement Indicator.

The“Green Building Label”is aimed at completed buildings, while the“Candidate Green Building Certificate”is based on evaluating project’s design documents and drawings after design phase. The main objective is to provide an opportunity for pre-assessment and adjustment of inappropriate designs through the“Candidate Green Building Certificate”, reducing situations where modifications are impossible or require significant costs for corrections after building completion.
