China Green Building Evaluation Label

The official green building rating system in Mainland China is also called “China Three Star System”.

Introduction

China Green Building Evaluation Label, also known as the “China Three Star System,” is a policy that is strongly promoted by the Chinese government. It incorporates elements from green building rating systems such as the U.S. LEED and Taiwan’s EEWH while integrating national policies on energy conservation, land conservation, water conservation, material conservation, environmental protection, and pollution reduction. The main objective of this system is to promote resource conservation throughout the entire life cycle of buildings and create well-balanced green buildings.

The certification systems of China Green Building Evaluation Label include several categories such as Public Building Design Certification, Public Building Operation Certification, Residential Building Design Certification, and Residential Building Operation Certification. Currently, many major cities and provinces in China have fully implemented this system. Obtaining the Green Building Evaluation Label has become a necessary requirement for many important public buildings and investment development projects. Chinese government also offers support and financial incentive to encourage participation in this system.

Starting in 2015, SSDC included the service for Taiwanese companies to obtain China green building labels for their building projects in Mainland China. Now with extensive practical green building experience in Mainland China, we can provide services for companies and architects from Taiwan to meet green building requirements for building projects in Mainland China with ease.
